Teacher Jessica

Lead Teacher & Dandelion Preschool Owner

My name is Jessica Cadd and I am the Owner of Dandelion Preschool. I graduated from George Fox University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and an endorsement in ESOL. I student taught in second grade at Joseph Gale Elementary School and first grade at Banks Elementary School. Once I graduated, I ran a preschool program at Banks Elementary School. Most recently I was a long-term substitute for a Kindergarten classroom at Antonia Crater Elementary School. I have completed trainings in first aid/cpr, health/safety, and safe sleep. I hold a current food handlers card and am on the central background registry.

Teacher Ben

Assistant Teacher

Teacher Ben is my husband and is my full time assistant teacher. Ben graduated from Portland State University with a bachelors in Children, Youth, and Family Studies. He did his practicum with Head Start and Oak Grove Elementary where he both participated in classrooms and led activities. Along with this, he has volunteered at a Boys and Girls club and has assisted students at Abernethy Elementary School. He has completed training in first aid/cpr, health/safety, and safe sleep. He holds a current food handlers card and is on the central background registry.

Teacher Donnita

Substitute Assistant

Teacher Donnita is my mother and our substitute assistant who helps Teacher Ben or myself when one of us is absent. Donnita has a lot of experience with children through raising 4 daughters herself. She was PTO president at Dilley Elementary for 5 years and has provided childcare in the past in our home. Most recently she has been teaching preschool children with me yearly at Twin Rocks Friends Camp. She has completed trainings in first aid/cpr, health/safety, and safe sleep. She holds a current food handlers card and is on the central background registry.

Helper Stephanie

Website/Graphic Designer

Teacher Stephanie is my sister and is our website/graphic designer. Stephanie created and maintains our preschool website. She also creates business cards, posters, calendar pieces, and learning materials for our program. Occasionally Stephanie visits our school and when she does she enjoys leading movement activities. She has taught dance/acrobatics classes for children in the past and is currently teaching private contortion & flexibility lessons. She is on the central background registry.

Our Food Policy

Our home/school is 100% gluten free for my own health as I have Celiac Disease. The food we serve is all gluten free, natural, and organic when available.


As a licensed facility, we are also required to follow the USDA guidelines. A menu will be provided weekly with our meals and snacks. Any substitutions will be listed as well.


Please let us know of any allergies or sensitivities your child has so that we can accommodate them. We will not allow any outside food/drink into our home for my own safety as well as the safety of any children in our care who may have allergies. Thank you for your understanding.
